Punjab Class 12 Board Results Showcase Female Academic Excellence

The CSR Journal Magazine

The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) Class 12 results for 2026 have highlighted a notable achievement, as all top three rank holders are girls, each obtaining a perfect score of 100 per cent. This year’s results have been particularly striking, reflecting the talent and dedication of female students across various academic streams.

Leading the list of top performers is Sukhneet Kaur, who achieved Rank 1 with 500 marks in the Science stream. She is a student of Guru Nanak Adarsh Senior Secondary School located in Chohla Sahib, Mansa. Following closely is Suhani Chauhan, ranked second for her flawless score of 500 marks in the Humanities stream. Suhani studies at B.S.N. Senior Secondary School in Jalandhar Cantt, Focal Point, Ludhiana.

The third position has been claimed by Divanshi, also achieving a perfect score of 500 marks in the Humanities stream. She is associated with Tara Singh Memorial Senior Secondary School in Jassowal Puri, Ludhiana. This remarkable performance underscores a significant accomplishment for girls in the region, particularly in a competitive educational landscape.

Impressive Overall Performance and Gender Disparity

The PSEB Class 12 merit list for 2026 showcases a pronounced success rate among female students, who not only topped the rank list but also surpassed boys in overall performance. This year, the pass percentage reached an impressive 91.46 per cent, with more than 2.65 lakh students participating in the examinations held from February 17 to April 4.

Continuing a persistent trend observed in previous years, girls have once again outperformed boys, reflecting a consistent pattern in academic achievements. While the girls’ pass percentage was notably higher, boys also demonstrated commendable performance across various streams. This dual success illustrates the dedication of both genders in their academic pursuits.

The results also signify a balanced academic performance between different streams. Sukhneet’s performance in Science and the accomplishments of Suhani and Divanshi in Humanities highlight the capability of students to excel regardless of their chosen disciplines. This balanced excellence serves to encourage future students to pursue their interests without reservations.

Significance of the 2026 Results

The PSEB Class 12 results for 2026 stand out not only for the high overall pass percentage but also for the rare occurrence of perfect scores across multiple top ranks. Such an achievement is seldom seen, enhancing the visibility of the students’ exemplary efforts this year.

The year’s results have sparked discussions regarding the evolving academic landscape in Punjab, particularly how female students have increasingly stepped into roles of leadership in education. This trend is indicative of changing societal norms, where girls are becoming leaders in academic success and showcasing their potential on a large scale.

The outcomes of these examinations serve as a source of inspiration for both current and future cohorts of students. As educational institutions celebrate these achievements, it is expected that the PSEB will continue to encourage and support students in their academic journeys, fostering an environment conducive to learning and success.
