The Punjab government has announced the release of Rs 1,423.33 crore under its old-age pension initiative for the current financial year. This information was conveyed by Baljit Kaur, the Social Security, Women and Child Development Minister, on Sunday. For this financial year, the state’s administration has allocated Rs 4,000 crore specifically for the pension scheme.
