Criminal Background of Lalan Singh

Lalan Singh was a resident of Anandgolwa village in Samastipur district, Bihar, and was wanted for several serious crimes in both Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. His criminal activities allegedly included the shooting of a Sub-Inspector and the theft of his service pistol in Varanasi on November 8, 2022. In addition to this incident, he was reportedly involved in a robbery and shooting in Chandauli on November 1, 2022. Police records indicate Singh’s involvement in multiple heinous crimes, heightening his notoriety among law enforcement agencies.

The list of alleged crimes extends to the murders of seven individuals, including two Sub-Inspectors, a bank cashier, and a security guard. Singh was also reportedly connected to bank dacoities, cash van robberies, and the looting of government firearms. His criminal network allegedly involved his brothers and various associates, making him a significant target for law enforcement agencies in the region.

Law enforcement officials had placed a substantial reward for Singh’s capture, declaring a sum of Rs 1 lakh by the Commissioner of Police in Varanasi, complemented by an additional Rs 25,000 from the Superintendent of Police in Chandauli. These rewards reflected the urgency to apprehend him due to his escalating criminal activities.
