NEET-UG 2026 cancellation ‘not a big deal’, says Rajasthan Minister Madan Dilawar

Rajasthan’s School Education and Panchayati Raj Minister Madan Dilawar downplayed the cancellation of the NEET-UG 2026 examination, calling it “not a big deal,” and asserted that strict action would be taken against those involved in the alleged paper leak case. While speaking to journalists in Jodhpur, Dilawar said the National Testing Agency (NTA) found irregularities in the examination process, which led to the cancellation of the exam. “Wherever irregularities are found, the government will work to correct them.” Dilawar noted that whether the accused are residents of Rajasthan, West Bengal or Kashmir, they will be tracked and won’t be spared.

Rajasthan BJP chief denies accused’s links with party

Opposition Congress leaders have accused that the investigation is delayed because the accused are allegedly linked to the ruling BJP. Pictures of Minister Dilawar have surfaced with Dinesh Biwal and Mangilal Biwal. Replying to the allegation, Madan Rathore, Rajasthan BJP president, denied any association between the accused.

Referring to the accusation by former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, Rathore said, “Congress is making baseless accusations, if anyone is photographed in public, that does not mean it establishes any affiliation.” He added that his party isn’t trying to shield anyone and the Central Bureau is investigating the case. “BJP is zero-tolerant towards corruption and paper leaks.”
