Distinguished Presence by Prominent Personalities

On 17 June, Henry Cavill made an impressive appearance at the Longines Lounge, engaging attendees in a meet-and-greet that embodied the brand’s essence of elegance. He sported a vintage Longines monopusher chronograph from 1926, which features a tachymeter scale for measuring speed and is powered by Longines’ first wrist chronograph movement. This timepiece exemplifies the brand’s rich history and attention to detail.

Sara Ali Khan, a well-known Bollywood actress, joined Cavill at the event, further enhancing Longines’ presence. She showcased an elegant new model from the Longines Master Collection, highlighting the blend of style and sophistication that the series represents.

Both actors participated in an official prize-giving ceremony, presenting the award for the Royal Hunt Cup winner alongside Longines President and CEO Patrick Aoun. This event underscored Longines’ deep connection with equestrian sport and its celebration of achievements within the field.

Redesigned Longines Master Collection Unveiled

During Royal Ascot, Longines introduced a redesigned version of the Master Collection, which first launched in 2005. Available in sizes ranging from 30 to 41 mm, the collection includes both men’s and women’s models, equipped with exclusive Longines automatic movements that enhance precision and durability.

The updated designs feature distinctive barleycorn-patterned dials, with options that include mother-of-pearl, diamond indexes, and Arabic numerals. This launch represents a significant evolution in the Master Collection, maintaining its timeless qualities while adapting to contemporary tastes.

Longines’ Legacy in Equestrian Sports

Royal Ascot 2026 reinforced Longines’ longstanding association with horse racing, having served as the Official Partner since 2007. The partnership is shaped by shared values of heritage, performance, and a mutual dedication to equestrian excellence. This collaboration has seen innovations such as the Longines Tracking System, which provides precise, real-time data on horse races, enhancing both analysis and audience engagement.

Longines’ historical connection to equestrian sports began in 1869 with the creation of its first equestrian-themed watch, continuing through pioneering technological advancements in the field. The brand has maintained its commitment by sponsoring prestigious events and institutions in show jumping, dressage, and flat racing. These efforts underscore its dedication to promoting excellence in the sport on a global stage.

With a heritage dating back to its founding in 1832 in Saint-Imier, Switzerland, Longines has continuously innovated in watchmaking while remaining rooted in tradition. The brand has evolved to equip all automatic timepieces with state-of-the-art movements featuring silicon balance-springs, ensuring high performance and longevity.
