The action comes in response to what KTR describes as a series of “false, malicious and defamatory” statements that associate him with Globarena Technologies, a company whose evaluation software was scrutinised during the investigation into the 2019 Telangana Intermediate results.

The legal notice demands that Chief Minister Reddy issue an unconditional public apology, retract the controversial statements, and ensure that such allegations are not repeated in the future. It argues that Reddy’s accusations emerged during a media interaction on matters of examination irregularities and were subsequently disseminated through various social media platforms. The notice maintains that the Chief Minister failed to provide any substantive evidence to support the claims.

The allegations have reportedly been broadcast widely across news channels, newspapers, and digital media, leading to significant harm to KTR’s reputation and public standing. The notice contends that no judicial findings or credible evidence exist that link KTR to Globarena, asserting that the accusations were made carelessly and with the intention of damaging his public image.

In particular, the notice refutes claims that Globarena operates as a benami company for KTR, alleging that he did not initiate legal action against the company despite purported court directives. Additionally, it disputits the assertions that KTR issued an experience certificate for Globarena, facilitated examination-related contracts, or used political influence to secure contracts from the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Furthermore, the notice challenges the allegation that KTR’s inaction contributed to student suicides.

Earlier this year, Globarena Technologies was at the centre of a significant controversy regarding the CBSE’s on-screen marking system. The allegations made by CM Reddy are categorically termed by KTR as baseless, defamatory, and lacking any factual support. The BRS leader also took the opportunity to highlight his track record in attracting global investments to Telangana during his tenure as the Minister for Industries, Information Technology, Municipal Administration, and Urban Development.

KTR asserts that the allegations concerning corruption, benami ownership, abuse of office, and criminal misconduct, made without any proof, reflect irresponsible behaviour. The notice contends that such remarks exceed the boundaries of acceptable political discourse and constitute false claims intended to provide the Chief Minister with a competitive political advantage while inflicting irreparable damage on KTR’s character.
