Jharkhand Man Arrested For Allegedly Hiring Hitmen To Kill Father

The CSR Journal Magazine

A man from Dhanbad district in Jharkhand has been detained for reportedly orchestrating the murder of his father, an employee of Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL). The motive behind this heinous act was to secure employment for himself on compassionate grounds. The police confirmed the details of the case on Thursday.

Details of the Murder

The victim, Tuleshwar Nonia, was a coal worker with just two years left in his service at BCCL. Allegedly, Vijay Chauhan, the accused, conspired to kill his father to facilitate his own permanent job eligibility at the colliery upon Nonia’s demise. This plan was executed late on the night of June 19, according to S Mohammed Yakub, the Superintendent of Police for Dhanbad Rural.

Chauhan allegedly enlisted the help of two individuals, Amit Singh and Akhilesh Mallah, who reside in the Badaura Colony within the jurisdiction of Barora police station. Reports indicate that Chauhan made an offer of Rs 10 lakh to the duo to carry out the act, although no advance payment was allegedly given prior to the incident.

To create a plausible alibi, the accused misled his father about attending a relative’s wedding in Aurangabad, Bihar, leaving home on Friday morning. After completing his shift on that Friday night, Nonia was given a lift by Singh and Mallah, who took him to a secluded area where they allegedly killed him using a large stone.

Cover-Up Attempts and Investigation

Following the murder, the accused reportedly attempted to destroy evidence and conceal their true intentions. It is alleged that they smashed Nonia’s face and abandoned his body on the main road to simulate a road accident. This gruesome act was intended to divert suspicion from them.

However, police investigations advanced significantly when they reviewed CCTV footage from the BCCL systems at the AMP Colliery. This footage allegedly captured Nonia riding with Singh and Mallah on the motorcycle. This critical evidence led to their detention and interrogation by the police.

During questioning, the officers were able to extract crucial information that exposed the murder plot. Superintendent Yakub also revealed that one of the accused, Mallah, has a prior criminal record, including past imprisonment for theft-related offences.

Arrests and Further Developments

The arrests of Chauhan, Singh, and Mallah followed a thorough investigation into Nonia’s murder, with law enforcement theorising that the crime was premeditated to facilitate a position for Chauhan at the coal company on compassionate grounds. As the investigation progresses, police continue to examine various aspects of the case to gather more insights.

Local authorities are committed to ensuring justice for Tuleshwar Nonia and are working diligently to uncover any additional details surrounding this shocking incident. The community has been left in disbelief as revelations about the motivations behind this crime surface.

The ongoing investigation serves as a reminder of the lengths individuals may go to for personal gain, raising essential questions about familial relationships and moral integrity. As the legal proceedings begin, families and officials await the outcome of this distressing case.
