Jaipur Police have detained three Bangladeshi nationals, including a woman, for allegedly hiding their identities and presenting themselves as Hindus. This false identity allowed the woman to marry a resident of Rajasthan after reportedly entering India illegally. Authorities are investigating the possibility of a broader network connected to illegal immigration and forgery.

According to police reports, the woman is said to have lived under an assumed identity, engaging in customary rituals associated with Hindu married women, such as applying sindoor and wearing a mangalsutra. She entered into a marriage with a man from Nagaur district, seemingly to avoid drawing attention to her true identity.

Senior police officials stated that the three individuals were arrested across various locations in Jaipur. Rubia, the woman, was apprehended in the Narayan Vihar area, while her accomplices, Nadeem and Ashish Haldar, were caught in Mansarovar and Sanganer Sadar, respectively.

Investigation Findings

During initial interrogations, the three suspects reportedly confessed to entering India illegally from Bangladesh several years prior. The woman claimed she crossed the border under the guise of seeking medical treatment, whereas the two men stated they had come to India searching for work.

Police disclosed that the woman entered India through Assam before making her way to Jaipur. A Bangladeshi passport was found in her possession, but investigators noted the absence of valid immigration stamps or any records to substantiate her legal entry or exit from India.

Additionally, authorities uncovered an Aadhaar card believed to be forged. Investigators are attempting to trace the origins of this document and discover how it was acquired. Reports suggest potential connections between this case and other Bangladeshi women who have been arrested across regions such as Nagaur, Bhilwara, and Ajmer.

Law enforcement officials are examining the circumstances surrounding these women, as many reportedly concealed their true identities before marrying Hindu men in different areas of Rajasthan. There is speculation that some may have been brought into India by networks allegedly associated with prostitution.

While no evidence has been officially confirmed linking the arrested individuals to anti-national activities, the investigations are expanding to assess the possibility of an organised module behind these incidents.
