A 20-year-old college student reportedly died by suicide on Saturday at her rented home in the Nehru Nagar area of Indore. Authorities discovered her body hanging in the room after her boyfriend, concerned about her unresponsive behaviour, sought the help of the landlord to enter the premises. Initial investigations reveal that the student, identified as Vaishnavi Banawade, was a resident of Biaora in Madhya Pradesh’s Rajgarh district.

Vaishnavi was pursuing a second-year degree in Computer Science at a private college in Indore and was also undertaking a Visual Effects (VFX) course. Police reported that she had been living in a rented accommodation within the jurisdiction of the MIG police station. The circumstances surrounding her death are currently being examined by law enforcement.
