IndiGo to Begin Operations at Noida International Airport from June 15

The CSR Journal Magazine

IndiGo, a prominent domestic airline in India, has announced the commencement of operations from the newly inaugurated Noida International Airport (NIA) in Jewar, Uttar Pradesh, starting on 15 June 2026. This move is part of the airline’s plan to enhance connectivity across the country, particularly within the National Capital Region (NCR). Through this new gateway, IndiGo aims to launch direct flights to more than 16 destinations across India.

The destinations planned for connectivity include major metro cities as well as tier-2 and tier-3 locations. Cities such as Bengaluru and Hyderabad will be among the metropolitan connections, whereas Amritsar, Chandigarh, Dharamshala, Jaipur, Lucknow, Navi Mumbai, Pantnagar, and Srinagar will serve as key regional hubs.

Aloke Singh, IndiGo’s Chief Strategy Officer, highlighted the significance of NIA as a crucial transport hub for western Uttar Pradesh. He stated that the expansion supports the evolving landscape of large metropolitan areas in India, where multiple airports are becoming more common and necessary.

IndiGo’s Commitment to Enhanced Connectivity

In his remarks, Aloke Singh expressed pride in IndiGo’s contribution to the development of airport infrastructure in the NCR. With the introduction of services at NIA, IndiGo will be serving all three airports in the NCR, including Indira Gandhi International Airport and Hindon Airport. This strategy is designed to improve accessibility for travellers in the region.

Singh further emphasised that as IndiGo expands its operational footprint, it remains dedicated to providing affordable and efficient travel solutions. The airline aims to ensure that customers benefit from reliable service across its extensive network, positioning itself as a key player in India’s aviation sector.

The airline’s announcement also aligns with India’s initiative to enhance domestic aviation infrastructure, catering to the increasing demand for air travel. The launch of operations from NIA is expected to significantly enhance domestic connectivity and expand options for customers in the NCR.

Booking Information and Future Prospects

IndiGo has confirmed that the process for booking flights from Noida International Airport is already underway. Travellers can make reservations through various channels, including IndiGo’s official website and mobile application, as well as through authorised travel partners.

This development is pivotal as it provides travellers with wider access to flights and enhances the overall travel experience in the region. The establishment of NIA is expected not only to boost local tourism and commerce but also to create job opportunities and stimulate the economy.

The airline looks forward to welcoming passengers on board from this new airport, demonstrating its commitment to meeting the evolving needs of India’s growing air travel market. As operations commence, IndiGo anticipates a positive reception from customers eager to experience connectivity to more destinations.
