The CSR Journal Magazine

The Gujarat government will unveil its much-awaited Industrial Policy 2026 on June 15, outlining a comprehensive roadmap aimed at accelerating industrial growth, attracting investments and strengthening the state’s position as India’s leading manufacturing and investment destination.

According to the Chief Minister’s Office, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel will launch the policy at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar in the presence of Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi.

The new policy is expected to focus on enhancing ease of doing business, promoting advanced manufacturing, supporting micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), encouraging technology adoption and facilitating investments across emerging and high-growth sectors.

Officials said the policy seeks to build on Gujarat’s long-standing reputation for investor-friendly governance and industrial development while creating new employment opportunities and fostering innovation.

New Policy To Strengthen Gujarat’s Industrial Competitiveness

Over the years, Gujarat has established itself as one of the country’s preferred destinations for domestic and foreign investment, supported by robust infrastructure, strong connectivity, proactive governance and a skilled workforce.

The upcoming policy is expected to further enhance the state’s investment attractiveness and provide a framework for sustained economic growth.

According to the CMO, the new industrial roadmap will focus on sectors that are expected to drive the next phase of manufacturing and technological advancement while ensuring continued support for existing industries.

Special emphasis is likely to be placed on advanced manufacturing, digital technologies and improving the overall business ecosystem.

The policy is also expected to strengthen Gujarat’s competitiveness amid increasing global interest in India as a manufacturing and supply-chain hub.

Technology Push Continues With Hexaware Expansion

The announcement comes as Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Saturday inaugurated a new delivery centre of Hexaware Technologies in Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City) in Gandhinagar.

The facility, located on the seventh and eighth floors of the Pragya-II building, is expected to contribute significantly to Gujarat’s growing technology ecosystem.

The centre will focus on emerging areas such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, data analytics, automation and digital transformation.

Officials said the project is expected to create new employment opportunities for highly skilled professionals and support the state’s ambition of becoming a major technology hub.

Around 1,000 High-Skilled Jobs Expected

Hexaware Technologies is among the world’s leading digital and technology services companies, providing solutions to sectors including banking, healthcare, insurance, manufacturing, retail and transportation.

With operations spanning multiple countries, the company is expected to create nearly 1,000 highly skilled jobs in Gujarat over the next three years.

The expansion aligns with the state’s broader push to attract investments in knowledge-based industries and high-value sectors.

The launch of Industrial Policy 2026 is expected to provide further momentum to these efforts by creating a conducive environment for businesses, promoting innovation and strengthening Gujarat’s role as a key contributor to India’s economic growth story.
