First Batch Of Hajj 2026 Pilgrims Departs From Delhi For Mecca

The first group of Hajj 2026 pilgrims, comprising 371 individuals, departed for Mecca on April 18 from New Delhi, signifying the official commencement of India’s annual pilgrimage season. The group left from Indira Gandhi International Airport, facilitated by the Delhi Hajj Committee, which oversees preparations and arrangements for the journey.

Kausar Jahan, Chairperson of the Delhi Hajj Committee, was present at the airport to oversee the departure. She expressed her congratulations to the pilgrims and emphasised the continuous improvements made under the guidance of Prime Minister Modi to enhance the travel experience. The administration aimed to ensure a smooth and pleasant pilgrimage for all attendees.
