The CSR Journal Magazine

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced that it will provide special early morning services to accommodate yoga enthusiasts on International Day of Yoga 2026. These services aim to facilitate the movement of participants to various yoga events and venues across the city on June 21, ensuring a smoother experience for those involved in the celebrations.

First Train Departures On Key Routes

As part of this initiative, the first trains on specific metro lines will commence their journeys earlier than usual. Notably, the train from Kirti Nagar to Brigadier Hoshiar Singh will leave at 4:10 AM, while the train from Dwarka to Dhansa Bus Stand is scheduled to depart at 4:15 AM. This special timing is designed to help attendees arrive at their respective yoga locations promptly.

The DMRC’s efforts to provide these early services reflects a commitment to supporting widespread participation in yoga activities. With an increasing number of people attending events, these early services are meant to ease transportation concerns for participants.

These alterations in scheduling are expected to significantly benefit thousands of individuals travelling to various yoga gatherings spread across the capital. By making adjustments to the timetable, the DMRC is working to create an inclusive atmosphere for all attendees.

Trains To Operate At 30-Minute Intervals

In addition to the special first train departures, the metro services will run at 30-minute intervals until 6:00 AM. Following this period, the regular Sunday service schedule will resume across the entire metro network. This arrangement will provide a reliable transport option for those attending yoga events early in the day.

International Day of Yoga consistently attracts an impressive number of participants each year, with activities occurring in various locations such as parks, educational institutions, and community centres throughout Delhi. The early metro services are expected to enhance accessibility for members of the public wishing to engage in these wellness activities.

By providing trains at consistent intervals during the early hours, the DMRC aims to support attendees in reaching these gatherings without difficulty. This initiative aligns with the spirit of the International Day of Yoga, promoting wellness and community engagement.

DMRC’s Commitment To Community Events

DMRC’s decision to implement these special services demonstrates a strong commitment to community involvement and enhancing the experience of residents. By activating train services significantly earlier than the usual schedule, the metro aims to remove barriers for citizens seeking to participate in yoga events.

These adjustments not only aim to facilitate transportation across the national capital but also underscore the importance of wellness activities within the community. With the special services in place, individuals can expect a comfortable and efficient journey as they partake in the celebrations of International Day of Yoga.

The special 4 AM metro services scheduled for June 21 will ensure a seamless transit experience for yoga enthusiasts heading to various events. With the added benefit of frequent train operations early in the morning, DMRC is dedicated to enhancing public access and participation in this annual celebration of health and well-being.
