The Indian National Congress (INC) has declared that the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan is a significant victory for the youth of India. In a statement on social media, the Congress described Pradhan’s resignation as a triumph for India’s younger generation, stating that it represents the collective voice of millions advocating for educational reform. The post suggested that this resignation demonstrates a crack in the government’s previously steadfast position, which had allegedly disregarded the concerns of the students.

Furthermore, the INC mentioned that the situation surrounding the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) paper leak had been a rallying point for opposition leaders, particularly Rahul Gandhi, who have continuously voiced their concerns within parliamentary sessions and on the streets.

Various opposition leaders chimed in on the developments, with Congress’s Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury suggesting that the resignation should have occurred earlier to prevent the violent confrontations during the protests. He remarked that the government’s delayed reaction has resulted in unnecessary suffering for students and highlighted the bravery of the demonstrators and their supporters.

In his comments, Chowdhury noted that the government’s eventual action, driven by public pressure, indicated that the opposition and the students had prevailed in their fight for justice. He acknowledged the relentless determination of the protestors and the pivotal role played by Rahul Gandhi in keeping attention on the students’ issues.
