Aarush Singhal, a resident of Chandigarh, has achieved an impressive All India Rank (AIR) of 8 in the JEE Main 2026, attaining a perfect 100 percentile. His accomplishment stands out as a testament to diligence and the supportive environment provided by his family. This success in one of India’s most challenging examinations highlights that effective preparation can often yield better results than pressure.

Situated in Sector 37, Aarush has been part of the Sri Chaitanya Institute’s six-year classroom programme since he joined in Class 7. He currently attends Bhavan Vidyalaya, Sector 27, where he has consistently maintained a rigorous study schedule, dedicating six to seven hours daily to his academics.

Aarush’s decision to pursue a career at IIT Bombay has motivated him throughout his academic journey. His disciplined approach to studies, combined with unwavering dedication, exemplifies how structured preparation can lead to remarkable results in challenging examinations like the JEE.

Supportive Family Environment Encourages Academic Excellence

The Singhal family firmly believes that Aarush’s success is a reflection of his self-motivation rather than external pressure. His mother, Malti Singhal, a homemaker, and his father, Nakul Singhal, who works in the IT sector, have always prioritised a nurturing environment for their children. They have made it clear that they have never imposed any pressure on Aarush regarding his studies or aspirations for IIT.

As Aarush continues to celebrate his success, he is visiting the Sri Chaitanya head office in Hyderabad. The family plans to commemorate his achievements together once he returns. Aarush’s younger brother, who is currently in Class 9 and also preparing for the IIT entrance, highlights an academic spirit that runs deep within the family. This atmosphere of encouragement and enthusiasm has contributed positively to Aarush’s academic journey.

The Singhal family’s experience serves as an example of how a balance between ambition and a supportive home environment can foster educational success. Their focus on dedication rather than pressure has played a crucial role in Aarush’s achievements.

Remarkable Performances from the Tricity Region

Aarush’s success has been accompanied by impressive performances from several other students from the Tricity region, which includes Chandigarh, Punjab, and Haryana. Arnav Gandhi, for instance, secured a 100 percentile, achieving AIR 22 and emerging as the Haryana topper. Similarly, Nishkarsh Verma scored 99.999 percentile with AIR 46, while Yajat Singhal achieved a score of 99.996 percentile, landing AIR 100.

All these students are linked to the same educational institution, Sri Chaitanya Institute Chandigarh, showcasing the effectiveness of its teaching methodologies. Their accomplishments further underline the competitive spirit prevalent in the region, which has produced several top performers in this demanding examination.
