A 28-year-old businessman, identified as Rahul, reportedly died by suicide in his garment shop located in Faridabad on June 26, 2026. He allegedly hung himself inside the establishment after posting a distressing video on Instagram, where he accused his wife and her family of subjecting him to mental harassment.

In the video, Rahul claimed that his wife, Jyoti, along with her mother Veena, father Bittu, and sister Neetu, had tormented him mentally. He mentioned feeling increasingly stressed despite handling various household chores and being subjected to unrelenting accusations. This emotional strain is said to have led him to take the drastic step of ending his life.

Following Rahul’s death, law enforcement agencies initiated an investigation and are scrutinising the claims made in his recorded message. The police stated that they took possession of his body and arranged for a post-mortem examination.

Personal Circumstances and Family Background

Rahul’s family revealed that he had entered into a love marriage with Jyoti approximately two years prior. Following their union, tensions reportedly arose between Rahul and his in-laws, leading to a situation where he began living independently, separate from his parents. His family noted that the couple’s decision to live apart was a significant factor in the distress that Rahul experienced.

Before his death, Rahul had launched a new garment shop about four months previously.
