Bishnoi Gang Claims Responsibility for Firing Outside Guru Randhawa’s Delhi Gym

The CSR Journal Magazine

A shooting occurred at a fitness centre owned by singer Guru Randhawa in Paschim Vihar, outer Delhi, on the evening of Wednesday, June 10, 2026. The Lawrence Bishnoi gang has claimed responsibility for this attack through a post on social media, as reported by NDTV. Fortunately, no injuries or fatalities were reported as a result of the incident.

Delhi Police were notified promptly and responded quickly to the scene. An investigation has been initiated to understand the circumstances surrounding the shooting. According to the police, they are working to confirm the authenticity of the claims made by the gang on their social media platforms.

Two individuals, reportedly riding a motorcycle and wearing masks, executed the shooting, firing several shots at the gym before fleeing the area. Authorities are currently reviewing CCTV footage from the vicinity to gather more evidence and identify the suspects involved.

Attack Linked to Relationships with Bollywood Figures

Anil Pandit, a member of the Bishnoi gang, stated in his social media post that the attack on Guru Randhawa’s fitness centre was a warning directed at the singer. According to Pandit, the gym was targeted because Randhawa was allegedly becoming too close to film actor Salman Khan. Furthermore, he threatened that more attacks could follow against individuals whom the gang views as adversaries.

The police have already summoned the local owner of the gym for questioning, aiming to gather more information regarding the incident and any relevant connections with the gang. Initial investigations suggest that the motive of the attack is linked to the complex dynamics within the entertainment industry.

While the police continue to investigate, the public safety message remains crucial, especially since this incident instills fear among local business owners and patrons. Authorities are working diligently to ensure the safety of the community while trying to apprehend those responsible for the attack.

Background of the Bishnoi Gang and Previous Legal Issues

The Lawrence Bishnoi gang’s animosity towards Salman Khan dates back to a 1998 incident involving the poaching of blackbucks in Rajasthan, which is revered by the Bishnoi community. In this case, Khan was implicated along with co-stars such as Saif Ali Khan and Tabu, who were filming the movie Hum Saath Saath Hain at that time.

In 2018, a Jodhpur court found Salman Khan guilty and imposed a five-year prison sentence. However, the other accused were acquitted due to a lack of evidence against them. Following a short period in custody, Khan was released on bail and he has since appealed the conviction. The Rajasthan government has concurrently filed an appeal against the acquittals of his co-actors.

Since the legal proceedings, the Bishnoi gang has continued to issue threats towards Salman Khan and those associated with him, reflecting ongoing tensions linked to past events. This latest incident further underscores the ongoing risks posed by these disputes within the entertainment and criminal spheres in India.
