Trump Shares Images Of US Warplanes After Fresh Military Strikes On Iran

The CSR Journal Magazine

US President Donald Trump on Sunday shared images of American military aircraft following fresh strikes on Iran, showcasing US military capabilities as Washington intensified operations targeting Tehran’s ability to threaten commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.

The images showed F-22A Raptor fighter jets, a Boeing VC-25B aircraft escorted by four F-22 Raptors, and B-2A Spirit and B-1B Lancer strategic bombers. The posts came as US Central Command (CENTCOM) launched precision strikes against military targets across Iran, including air-defence systems, coastal radars and missile and drone launch sites.

Trump Shares Images Of US Fighter Jets And Bombers

Trump shared three images of military aircraft through posts on Truth Social following the latest US strikes on Iran.

Two of the photographs showed F-22A Raptor fighter jets.

One image showed a Boeing VC-25B “Bridge” aircraft, a modified Boeing 747-8 gifted by Qatar’s ruling family to the United States, being escorted by a four-ship formation of F-22 Raptors.

Another photograph showed a B-2A Spirit stealth bomber and a B-1B Lancer strategic bomber.

The images were shared as the United States intensified military operations against Iran amid continued tensions over attacks on commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.

CENTCOM Launches Precision Strikes Across Iran

CENTCOM said US forces carried out a major wave of offensive precision strikes across multiple locations in Iran on Sunday.

The operation targeted dozens of Iranian military installations and was aimed at degrading Tehran’s ability to disrupt international maritime trade.

Targets included Iranian air-defence systems, coastal radar infrastructure, missile and drone launch sites and small tactical vessels.

US forces used fighter aircraft and naval combatants during the operation.

CENTCOM said the military also deployed one-way attack aerial drones and one-way attack sea drones for the first time during the latest operations.

US Says Iran Does Not Control Strait Of Hormuz

CENTCOM said the strikes were carried out to protect commercial shipping and maintain freedom of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz.

“The Strait of Hormuz is a vital maritime corridor for global trade. Iran does not control it,” CENTCOM said.

Washington has accused Tehran of unwarranted aggression, illegal harassment and arbitrary threats against international commercial vessels operating in the region.

CENTCOM said the latest strikes began at 5 pm ET on Sunday under the direction of the US Commander in Chief.

“At 5 p.m. ET today, U.S. Central Command forces began launching more strikes against Iran to continue degrading their ability to attack civilian mariners and commercial ships freely transiting the Strait of Hormuz. The Commander in Chief has directed the strikes to hold Iranian forces accountable,” CENTCOM said in a post on X.

The US military said its forces remained heavily deployed in the region and were prepared to conduct defensive and offensive operations to maintain freedom of navigation through the strategic waterway.

Iran Warns Countries Hosting Attacks Could Become Targets

Iran’s Foreign Ministry warned that any country allowing its territory or facilities to be used for military attacks against Iran could become a target of retaliatory strikes.

“The territory or facilities of any country used to launch military attacks against Iran may be regarded as the origin of aggression and treated as a legitimate target for defensive operations by the Iranian armed forces,” the ministry said.

Tehran also called on the United Nations to hold the United States accountable for what it described as acts of aggression.

Iran’s Foreign Ministry rejected remarks attributed to Trump about the outcome of recent negotiations in Muscat, describing them as “a complete lie”.

According to Tehran, the Muscat discussions focused on arrangements related to the management of the Strait of Hormuz and the security of international shipping routes.

Iran said the talks were not conducted in the manner characterised by the US president.

Tehran Calls For UN Action Against US Strikes

Iran criticised the United Nations Secretariat for what it described as an inadequate response to the US military operations.

The Foreign Ministry urged the UN Secretary-General and the UN Security Council to take action against those responsible for the attacks.

Tehran maintained that the US strikes violated international law and the UN Charter and called for those responsible to be held accountable.
