The CSR Journal Magazine

The recent announcement regarding the OnePlus N6 has confirmed battery details for the upcoming smartphone. Set to debut on June 30, 2026, this device is part of OnePlus’ budget-friendly ‘N’ series aimed at the Indian market, with an expected price range of Rs 18,000 to Rs 25,000. The OnePlus N6 is reported to feature a substantial 8,000mAh battery, which the company claims will enable the smartphone to function continuously for three days on a single charge.

In addition to the impressive battery life, OnePlus has promised seven years of effective battery health. This new model appears to share its battery capacity with the previously released OnePlus Nord CE 6, raising questions about potential differences in functionality between the two devices. Additional specifications and features are anticipated as the launch date approaches.

Design and Aesthetics of OnePlus N6

The OnePlus N6 maintains a clean and minimalist design, as suggested by preliminary teasers. The device features a flat back panel that incorporates a square camera island positioned in the top-left corner, complemented by the OnePlus logo centrally located. The overall appearance is sleek and structured, thanks to a flat frame that enhances the device’s understated elegance.

On the right edge, users will find the power button and volume control, while the left side remains devoid of any buttons, contributing to a purposeful minimalist aesthetic. The bottom edge features essential ports and components, including a USB Type-C port, a speaker grille, and a SIM tray. A cutout for a secondary microphone is located on the top edge, facilitating sound quality during calls.

The front of the OnePlus N6 is equipped with a flat display, featuring a centrally placed hole-punch cutout for the selfie camera. Although the bezels may be thicker than those found in premium models, this design decision is a commonly accepted compromise at this price point, providing an appealing visual experience for users.

New Tier System for OnePlus Devices in India

The introduction of the ‘N’ series signifies a strategic shift in OnePlus’ market approach, with the company planning to categorise its smartphones into three distinct tiers. The newly launched N series will occupy the entry-level segment, priced between Rs 18,000 and Rs 25,000, thus making the OnePlus experience accessible to a broader audience.

Above the N series, the Nord series will serve as the mid-tier option, targeting consumers who desire flagship-like features within the price range of Rs 25,000 to Rs 50,000. At the premium end, the Flagship series will be priced at Rs 50,000 and above, housing the most advanced features that OnePlus offers. This tiered strategy is aimed at meeting the varied needs of consumers while ensuring value at every price point.

As the launch date for the OnePlus N6 approaches, interest surrounding its features and performance continues to grow, positioning the device as a competitively priced option in the Indian smartphone market. With the potential for enhanced battery life and a thoughtful design, OnePlus aims to solidify its presence in the budget segment while catering to the preferences of Indian consumers.
