OnePlus Ace 7 Could Debut With Advanced Cooling System And Flagship Chipset

The CSR Journal Magazine

The forthcoming OnePlus Ace 7 is reportedly set to be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, which is currently featured in high-end smartphones such as the OnePlus 15, Xiaomi 17 Ultra, and Oppo Find X9 Ultra. Recent discussions regarding this device have gained traction as insights about its specifications become available, particularly through social media channels.

The information comes as OnePlus prepares for the launch of the OnePlus Nord CE 6 and OnePlus Nord CE 6 Lite in India on the 7th of May. Tipster Smart Pikachu shared the details on Weibo, leading to speculation about the capabilities of the upcoming device and its expected release.

Scheduled to debut in the fourth quarter of 2026, the OnePlus Ace 7 is also believed to incorporate an active cooling system, including a built-in fan. This feature is notable, especially as its immediate predecessor, the Ace 6 Ultra, lacks such a system and instead utilises external cooling solutions.

Display and Gaming Performance Improvements Anticipated

The anticipated active cooling system could significantly enhance gaming performance during extended usage, contrasting its predecessors, the Ace 6 and Ace 6 Ultra. Additionally, there is speculation regarding the introduction of an “ultra-high refresh rate” display, although exact specifications have yet to be confirmed.

Previously, Digital Chat Station hinted at advancements in display technology for upcoming OnePlus models, predicting that future devices such as the OnePlus 16 might achieve refresh rates up to 240Hz. This insight fuels expectations for the Ace 7’s display capabilities and its potential to compete in a rapidly evolving market.

In terms of display quality, the Ace 6 Ultra, which was launched in China last month, boasts a sizeable 6.83-inch AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 165Hz and brightness levels reaching 1800 nits. These attributes set a high bar for future releases, including the upcoming Ace 7.

Battery and Camera Specifications Highlighted

Details on the OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra reveal a robust 7800mAh battery that supports 120W wired fast charging, alongside various fast-charging standards. According to the company, the device can achieve a charge of 58 per cent in approximately 20 minutes and attain a full charge within 43 minutes. This impressive charging capability may influence consumer expectations for the Ace 7.

The camera system of the OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra features a dual rear configuration, comprising a 50MP primary sensor equipped with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) and an 8MP ultra-wide lens. The setup supports features such as HDR, panorama, and 4K video recording at up to 120 frames per second, enhancing its appeal for photography enthusiasts.

On the front, the device includes a 16MP selfie camera with the ability to shoot 1080p videos featuring gyro-EIS support. This combination of advanced camera features and battery performance sets a competitive standard in the market and raises anticipation regarding the photography capabilities of the Ace 7.
