Actor Salman Khan has urged students participating in the protests regarding the NEET-UG paper leak to return to their families. In a statement made via social media on Thursday, he expressed concern for the students’ well-being and the anxiety it has caused their parents. He reassured them that their safety is of utmost importance and highlighted that the government is expected to take necessary actions against those allegedly involved in the leak.

At the same time, Salman asked activist Sonam Wangchuk to end his hunger strike by sharing a message that reads, “Sonam, it’s done bro. Don’t extend this. Keep the spirit for another day if there be a need, which I doubt, n eat something. If you want, will send you food from home”.

Khan remarked that students should not face undue stress or jeopardise their education due to the ongoing situation. He emphasised that the Prime Minister is aware of the issue and has assured action will be taken against the responsible parties, thus encouraging the students to go back home.

The actor concluded his message by indicating that keeping the students in a state of worry is unacceptable, and he urged them to prioritise their health and education over the protest.
