Noida Workers’ Violence: FIR Filed Against Two RJD Leaders for Sharing Misleading Content

The CSR Journal Magazine

A first information report (FIR) has been filed against two spokespersons of the Rashtriya Janta Dal (RJD), Priyanka Bharti and Kanchana Yadav, at the Gautam Buddha Nagar cyber police station. The action follows allegations that the leaders shared a misleading video on their social media accounts, erroneously linking it to the recent workers’ protests in Noida that affected the Delhi-NCR region earlier this week.

The police accused the two leaders of intentionally instigating fear and potentially disrupting law and order by disseminating a video that depicted police officers apprehending a drunk individual and apparently harming him. While the footage originated in Madhya Pradesh, Bharti and Yadav reportedly claimed it took place in Noida amid the protests, which purportedly stirred public outrage.

Accusations Against Other Individuals

Alongside the RJD spokespersons, the police have also registered an FIR against an account on the platform X, under the handle @ItsKtyni, and a Facebook user known as Jitendra Sharma Dausa. These individuals are accused of broadcasting a video from Madhya Pradesh while inaccurately asserting that it represented events occurring in Noida.

Information suggests that Jitendra Sharma Dausa uploaded a video on his Facebook profile, claiming it to be from Noida. The caption read: “Why are you kicking? Where is your baton? He is a labourer; even if you encounter him, it won’t matter. Noida, Noida protesters, Phaladi Bazar News,” as noted in the FIR.

In addition to this, the user identified as @ItsKtyni shared a video on X, asserting it represented the current situation in Noida. The title claimed, “This is the Noida Sector 62 now.” However, the video showcased a suspected incident of arson, which did not occur within Gautam Buddh Nagar, revealing the claim as entirely false and misleading.

Context Leading to the FIR

The police noted that the disputed video was recorded on April 11, 2026, involving a youth causing disturbances while under the influence in the Budhar area of Shahdol district, Madhya Pradesh. This clarification highlights the gravity of the allegations against the individuals who shared the footage without providing accurate context.

The dissemination of misleading information related to public events can significantly influence community sentiment and engagement. Authorities have taken the matter seriously, demonstrating a commitment to maintaining law and order in response to potential incitements stemming from social media sharing.

As the investigation proceeds, law enforcement aims to hold accountable those who contribute to the spread of false information which can escalate tensions in sensitive situations. The implications of such actions can be detrimental, especially during times of unrest like those experienced during the Noida workers’ protests.
