The CSR Journal Magazine

Actress Celina Jaitly has received two legal notices from her husband, Peter Haag, and his father, Wolfgang J. Haag. The notification was issued by the legal firm Semwal & Co., Advocates & Solicitors, based in Mumbai. The notices are reportedly related to various statements and allegations that the Haag family claims have been circulated in media platforms recently.

One notice has been sent by Wolfgang J. Haag, who identifies himself as Peter Haag’s father and the grandfather of the couple’s three children. The second notice originates from Peter Haag himself, who has raised concerns regarding his reputation and the well-being of their minors amidst the ongoing court proceedings.

Ongoing Legal Proceedings and Allegations

The Haag family has alleged that despite ongoing matrimonial and child custody disputes being adjudicated in Austrian courts, public statements and media articles containing unfounded claims against Peter Haag and his family persist. These allegations reportedly involve issues of domestic violence and emotional abuse, among others.

Furthermore, the family has denied the veracity of various allegations that have surfaced in public forums, including claims related to intimidation, harassment, and the relocation of their children. They express concern that these unfounded assertions have created unnecessary strain on their family dynamics.

Of particular concern to the Haag family is the impact of these public disclosures on their children. The legal notices emphasise that minor details including their names and photographs have been used without consent, thus exposing them to unwarranted media attention during a sensitive legal situation.

Demands Outlined in the Notices

The legal notices assert that the publications in question constitute defamation, an invasion of privacy, and an obstruction of current judicial proceedings. As part of their demands, the Haag family is seeking the removal of certain content from public circulation and a public clarification alongside an apology. They have also requested that further public statements regarding the legal situation and their children cease immediately.

Solicitor Yesha Shah from Semwal & Co. commented, stating the importance of laws that protect individuals in matrimonial disputes. She highlighted that turning such disputes into public spectacle through unverified claims weakens the very laws designed to provide justice and safety.

Moreover, the Haag family reserves the right to pursue both civil and criminal actions if their demands remain unfulfilled. The family has indicated that further statements will not be made publicly at this time, given the ongoing nature of the legal proceedings in Austria.
