Khaperkheda TPS Wins Performance Excellence Award at Indian Power Station 2026

Maharashtra State Power Generation Company Limited (MAHAGENCO) has achieved a significant milestone as its Khaperkheda Thermal Power Station (TPS) has been conferred with the Performance Excellence Award in the category of State Generating Utility at the Indian Power Station 2026 held in Raipur (Chhattisgarh). The event was organized by NTPC.

The prestigious award was received on behalf of MAHAGENCO by Hon’ble Director (Operations), Shri Abhay Harne, recognizing the plant’s outstanding operational efficiency, reliability, and consistent performance in power generation.

The ceremony was graced by eminent dignitaries, including Shri Pankaj Agrawal, Secretary, Ministry of Power; Shri Piyush Singh, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Power; Dr. Rohit Yadav, Secretary (Energy), Government of Chhattisgarh; Shri Gurdeep Singh, CMD, NTPC; and Shri J. K. Shrinivasan, Director (Finance), NTPC.Senior MAHAGENCO officials present on the occasion included Hon’ble Executive Director (O&M) Shri Rajesh Patil, Chief Engineer Shri Pankaj Nagdevate, Shri Viraj Choudhari, and Shri Atul Sonje.

Hon’ble Chairman and Managing Director of MAHAGENCO, Shri Radhakrishnan B. (IAS), congratulated the entire Khaperkheda TPS team for this remarkable achievement. He stated that the award reflects MAHAGENCO’s unwavering commitment to operational excellence, efficiency, and sustainable power generation.

Director (Finance), Shri Manesh Waghirkar, also extended his congratulations to the team, appreciating their dedication, teamwork, and consistent efforts that have brought national-level recognition to the organization.
