“If I were Iran agent…”: White House Shooter Sent Disturbing Manifesto Before Attack

The CSR Journal Magazine

The individual implicated in the shooting at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, Cole Tomas Allen, allegedly sent a chilling manifesto to family prior to the incident. In this document, he referred to himself as an assassin and highlighted vulnerabilities in the event’s security, using a hypothetical scenario involving an Iranian operative to underscore these concerns. Allen, aged 31, characterised himself as the “Friendly Federal Assassin.”

In his text, he claimed that had he been an Iranian agent, he could have discreetly brought in a powerful weapon without raising alarms. He notably referenced a .50-calibre machine gun, suggesting that the lax security at the event would have allowed him to effectively execute a violent act.

Targeting Political Figures

The manifesto contained explicit intentions to target officials from the Trump administration, detailing various levels of officials while notably excluding the name of FBI Director Kash Patel. Allen expressed a near desperate resolve against what he described as the machinations of the government and referred specifically to President Trump using highly charged accusations.

In a particularly striking statement, he asserted that he would not allow the actions of a “pedophile, rapist, and traitor” to go unchallenged, indicating the gravity of his intent to carry out a violent act. His manifesto indicated he was prepared to confront significant moral dilemmas regarding loss of life, showing a calculated approach to achieving his target aims.

Moreover, he elaborated on his operational strategy, noting his intention to employ buckshot ammunition to minimise wall penetration but clarified he would not hesitate to proceed through bystanders if it meant reaching his objectives. This comment raised alarms about the potential for widespread casualties.

Concerns Over Event Security

Additionally, records showed that Allen purchased two handguns and a shotgun from Cap Tactical Firearms, which were stored at his parents’ residence. He was reported to have regularly participated in training at a shooting range, further escalating concerns regarding his preparedness for the assault. The Secret Service also reported that they had communicated with Allen’s sister, who indicated he often made extreme political statements and expressed a desire to enact significant changes following global conflicts.
