The Dehradun Police have apprehended the husband and sister-in-law of Srishti Kandari, a school teacher who reportedly died by suicide eight months after her marriage. This development was announced by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Pramendra Dobhal on August 1, 2026. The police launched a swift investigation following the incident, employing teams led by the Superintendent of Police (SP) Rural and the Circle Officer to gather vital evidence.

SSP Dobhal stated that they collected significant information and evidence, which led to the arrests of the two individuals.
