Haryana Government Transfers 20 HPS Officers in Major Administrative Reshuffle

The Haryana Government has ordered the immediate transfer and posting of 20 Haryana Police Service (HPS) officers in a significant administrative reshuffle. This decision, announced on June 27 aims to enhance policing and improve operational efficiency within the state. The reshuffle includes various officers such as Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) and Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs), who have been assigned to new duties in different districts and specialised units.

Key Officer Transfers

Among the notable appointments, Shakti Singh is now the DSP for Sirsa, while Kamaljeet Singh has been designated as DSP for Ambala Cantonment. Arvind Kamboj, formerly the ACP in charge of Crime in Panchkula, has been reassigned to the role of DSP in the Crime Investigation Department (CID) for Haryana. These changes are seen as part of the government’s strategic efforts to optimise the deployment of police personnel.

In addition, Vikash Kumar will take on the role of DSP in the 3rd Battalion of the Haryana Armed Police (HAP) based in Hisar. Similarly, Ravinder Singh has been appointed as the DSP for the Special Task Force (STF) in the state. Another significant transfer involves Rajbir Singh, who has been assigned as DSP, Telecommunication, in Panchkula, highlighting the focus on various domains within police services.

The reshuffle also includes several key promotions. Karambir Singh is now the DSP for the 3rd Battalion of HAP in Hisar, while Jaspal Singh has been promoted and appointed DSP at the Haryana State Narcotics Control Bureau (HSNCB). Furthermore, the earlier transfer of Sanjeev Kumar, originally announced on May 15, 2026, has been cancelled, and he will remain as DSP in Hisar.

Other Notable Appointments and Responsibilities

Other important postings as part of this reshuffle feature Om Parkesh as DSP in the State Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau, Jitender Kumar as DSP for Ambala Cantonment, and Jai Parkesh as DSP of the 3rd India Reserve Battalion (IRB) in Sunaria. Suresh Kumar and Raj Singh have both been appointed as DSPs for the 2nd IRB located in Bhondsi, while Vikas Krishan has been assigned as DSP at the Police Training Centre in Sunaria. These appointments reflect the government’s dedication to key roles in combatting various challenges in law enforcement.

The Home Department specified that all transfers and postings are effective immediately. This administrative reshuffle represents an ongoing commitment by the Haryana Government to strengthen police administration and bolster the efficiency of law enforcement across the state. By reallocating experienced personnel to crucial roles, the government aims to enhance the operational capabilities of police services and facilitate improved responses to public safety needs.
