Four Family Members Found Murdered in Janjgir-Champa; Police Launch Investigation

Four individuals from a single family were found deceased in Janjgir-Champa district, Chhattisgarh, on May 14, according to local police. The tragic incident occurred in Bhanwtara village, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Shivrinarayan police station. Authorities received reports of the murders on Thursday and promptly dispatched a police team to investigate the matter.

Additional Superintendent of Police Umesh Kashyap confirmed that officers arrived at the scene shortly after being notified. The police have initiated a thorough investigation into the incident and are trying to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the murders. Kashyap stated, “We had received information regarding the murder of four members of the same family in Bhanwtara. Upon receiving this information, a police team immediately reached the scene.”

Forensic experts and dog squads have been brought in to provide assistance during the investigation. Preliminary findings indicate that sharp-edged weapons could have been used in carrying out the murders. Reports suggest that the investigation is ongoing, with all angles being explored to solve the case.

Ongoing Investigation and Forensic Evidence

The police have stated that they are not overlooking any aspect of the case as they gather more information. Forensic teams are expected to play a crucial role in piecing together what happened in the village. Evidence collected from the scene is being examined in detail to help identify the perpetrators.

Separate Murder Case in Andhra Pradesh

In an unrelated incident, a woman was reportedly murdered in a lodge room in Ongole, located in the Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh. The victim has been identified as Adilakshmi, who resided in CS Puram and worked for the Irrigation Department. Her husband had filed a missing persons report several days prior when she disappeared.

Preliminary investigations reveal that Adilakshmi was allegedly attacked in Srirama Lodge, where she was found with serious injuries, including a slit throat. The police have since identified a close relative as a potential suspect, who is believed to have taken her to the lodge before the incident occurred.

Prakasam District Superintendent of Police Harshavardhan Raju mentioned that special investigative teams have been established to locate and apprehend the suspect. The police are continuously gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses to uncover further details.
