The upcoming final hearing in the anticipatory bail application for educator Faisal Khan, also known as ‘Khan Sir’, is set for June 25. Advocate Arvind Kumar Mawar, who represents Khan, conveyed that the court plans to hold final arguments regarding this matter on that date.

Mawar noted that the judge had requested the case diary from the police, which has now been submitted and is under review by the public prosecutor. The police are to return the diary by June 23, ensuring that all relevant information is available for the upcoming hearing.

“The custody for the accused has also been extended until the final arguments take place,” Mawar added. He mentioned that the bail pleas of security guards involved in the case will be addressed during the same hearing, as the issues are interlinked.

Court Grants Interim Relief to Khan Sir

The Bihar Court previously provided interim relief to Faisal Khan in relation to his anticipatory bail plea. The court has issued an order for ‘no coercive action’, mandating that police refrain from taking any severe measures against him prior to the subsequent hearing connected to the coaching institute firing case.

This interim order comes in the wake of a First Information Report (FIR) filed by the Patna Police against Khan and two other individuals concerning an incident on June 2. The FIR was lodged shortly after a group reportedly caused damage and initiated stone-pelting at the Khan Global Studies Institute.

In accordance with police reports, two guards linked with the institute were arrested based on video evidence captured during the incident. These actions contribute to the broader investigation surrounding the events that transpired that night.

Details of the Incident and Ongoing Investigation

The alleged vandalism and stone-pelting incident occurred on June 2 at approximately 10:10 PM. The police commenced a comprehensive investigation following the registration of Case No. 410/26. Initial reports indicate a group was involved in both vandalism and stone-pelting at the Khan Global Studies coaching centre.

“During the investigation, crucial video footage was uncovered, depicting two individuals engaging in aerial firing following the vandalism,” stated the police. This led to the identification and detention of two guards associated with the coaching institute.

Through further investigation into the sequence of events and the recovery of weapons used, the police have implicated Khan and two others in the FIR under various sections of the law, including those pertaining to abetment and the Arms Act. This ongoing probe aims to clarify the full scope of the incident and its aftermath.
