CBSE Re-Evaluation Portal Functions Smoothly Amid Technical Adjustments

The CSR Journal Magazine

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has launched its re-evaluation and post-result verification portal for Class 12 students, which has been reported to be operational with minimal technical disruptions. This initiative went live on June 2, allowing students to file grievances regarding their exam results following previous delays attributed to technical issues.

Sources reported that while a few technical concerns arose during its initial operation, these are being handled swiftly to ensure uninterrupted service. Students have begun to utilise the portal effectively, with many navigating it without encountering issues.

The launch of the portal on Tuesday was a response to earlier setbacks that had caused delays due to cybersecurity concerns. The CBSE communicated the portal’s readiness through their official channels, advising students to follow outlined procedures carefully.

Application Process and Fee Structure

The verification and re-evaluation portal will remain accessible until midnight on June 6, 2026. Students are required to pay fees according to the newly established structure, which is set at Rs 100 for verifying errors in scanned answer book copies and Rs 25 for each question in re-evaluations. Transactions for these fees are to be conducted solely through online platforms, including UPI, credit cards, and other digital payment methods, ensuring a fully streamlined approach.

CBSE officials indicated the application process has been clearly communicated to the students, with video instructions provided on how to navigate through the portal effectively. The response from the student community has been largely positive as they attempt to resolve any discrepancies in their marks.

The implementation of this digital portal aligns with the CBSE’s ongoing mission to enhance the exam evaluation system by leveraging technology while addressing the apprehensions surrounding the reliability of the process.

Measures to Enhance Cybersecurity

In conjunction with the portal’s launch, CBSE is also taking significant steps to bolster cybersecurity protocols. Recent reports of technical failures prompted the board to engage cybersecurity professionals from various governmental agencies and the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). This collaborative effort aims to fortify the platform’s security infrastructure, ensuring a safer experience for users.

Additionally, the CBSE’s prompt response to these cybersecurity issues demonstrates its commitment to maintaining the integrity of the evaluation process, particularly in light of previous concerns regarding the functionality of its post-result portals and the accuracy of evaluated answer sheets.

This initiative arrives amid continuing scrutiny surrounding the efficiency of the CBSE’s systems, as both students and parents express concern over the reliability of results and timely access to re-evaluation procedures. The organisation remains focused on addressing these challenges while ensuring that students have the required information and tools to manage their academic concerns effectively.
