Bus Overturns Near Noida Flyover, Approximately Twelve Passengers Injured

A bus travelling from Farrukhabad to Delhi overturned near the Mahamaya Flyover in Noida, resulting in injuries to around a dozen passengers. This incident took place early on Saturday morning in the Phase-1 police station area, as reported by local police. The bus, allegedly speeding, lost control and collided with a road divider, which caused it to flip onto its side on the roadway.

Upon notification of the accident, police personnel quickly arrived at the scene to conduct a rescue operation. Local residents assisted in evacuating the injured passengers from the overturned vehicle and transporting them to nearby hospitals for urgent medical attention. Eyewitness testimonies indicate that the bus overturned as it was travelling on the carriageway leading towards Delhi, resulting in widespread panic among passengers and bystanders alike.

The Noida Police Commissionerate’s media cell confirmed that the vehicle had lost control shortly after passing the Mahamaya Flyover. Medical assistance was promptly provided to all injured individuals. Following the incident, the bus was removed from the road, allowing normal traffic conditions to be restored.

Investigation Underway

Authorities have initiated an investigation into the accident to determine the exact circumstances leading to the crash. Preliminary assessments suggest that the bus’s loss of control may have been the primary cause; however, police are examining all possible factors contributing to the incident.

In the aftermath, law enforcement officers remain at the scene to gather further evidence. Collecting eyewitness statements and reviewing surveillance footage from the surrounding area forms part of the investigation into the incident. It is crucial for authorities to ascertain any negligence that may have played a role in this unfortunate event.

Separate Incident Claims Traffic Policeman’s Life

In a separate occurrence on the same day, a head constable from the Delhi Traffic Police was fatally injured after being struck by a scooter and subsequently run over by a goods carrier. This incident unfolded while the officer was on duty near ISBT Kashmere Gate in North Delhi.

Head Constable Anil, aged 39, was reportedly managing traffic on Ring Road when he was knocked down by a scooter carrying three individuals. The impact caused him to fall onto the roadway, where he was then run over by an approaching goods carrier. Emergency services were promptly called, but unfortunately, he was pronounced dead shortly after being taken to the hospital.

The riders of the scooter reportedly fled the scene following the collision. Meanwhile, the driver of the goods carrier was apprehended by police officers at the location. Investigators are currently combing through CCTV footage to identify and locate the scooter riders and understand the sequence of events that resulted in this tragic incident.

Head Constable Anil hailed from Kotputli in Rajasthan and had been residing in Chhatarpur, Delhi, while serving in the capital. Authorities have since informed his family about the sad development. The police are committed to ensuring justice following this significant loss to the Delhi Traffic Police force.
