UPSC Mains Admit Card 2026 Released With Exam Dates Announced

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has issued the admit card for the Civil Services Main Examination scheduled for 2026. This hall ticket is available online for candidates who have successfully passed the preliminary examination. To obtain their admit card, candidates must utilise their registered login credentials on the official UPSC website.

To download the admit card, candidates should visit the UPSC website and navigate to the section labelled ‘e-Admit Card: Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2026’. They will need to select the login option and enter the required details before clicking submit. Once these steps are completed, the admit card will be visible for download. Candidates are advised to print their admit card and ensure that they store it safely prior to the examination date.

Examination Schedule and Important Details

The Civil Services Main Examination is set to take place from August 21 to August 30, 2026. The examination will occur in two sessions each day: the morning session from 9 am to 12 noon and the afternoon session from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. The schedule includes a variety of papers, starting with the Essay paper on August 21, followed by General Studies papers on August 22 and 23.

In addition to the Essay and General Studies papers, candidates will sit for the Indian Language, English, and Optional Subject papers on August 29 and 30. Participants are required to arrive at their respective examination centres well ahead of the reporting time to ensure a smooth entry process.
