The Ramayana adaptation is being developed as a two-part epic, with Nitesh Tiwari at the helm and produced by Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios. This project is in partnership with DNEG, a studio renowned for its impressive portfolio, including eight Academy Awards, as well as Yash’s Monster Mind Creations. The film is scheduled for global IMAX release, with Part 1 set to debut during Diwali 2026 and Part 2 planned for Diwali 2027.

The cast features notable performances, with Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi portraying goddess Sita, Ravie Dubey as Lakshmana, Yash in the role of Ravana, and Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman.
