LGBT community-based dance group, ‘Dancing Queens’ shared their aspirations, struggles and capabilities through a captivating dance performance. While stand-up artist Kenneth Sebastian featured in a humourous act. Alternative Lyrical Pop Band ‘saMcara’ performed and composed a song on social responsibility and ethics written exclusively for The CSR Journal.

Chief Guest, Mr. Sushilkumar Shinde said, “If a quarter of the mandated 2% is spent effectively by corporate houses, the nation will see a tremendous upgrade in the social strata.” Expressing his views on SWAG Awards 2016 he said, “It is good to see genuine efforts and stories getting recognition at such platform.”

Mr. Amit Upadhyay, Editor-in-chief of The CSR Journal highlighted about the changing dynamics in the CSR domain and how the news portal creates value in the society through sound business activities and practices. “We need to look beyond NGOs, government as-well-as corporate social responsibility. As individuals have a duty far beyond performing occasional acts of giving alms, we have to transcend to a new paradigm of CSR – Citizen’s Social Responsibility.”
