Police in all districts of Uttar Pradesh were also put on high alert. An order was issued from Lucknow to increase patrols and checks in sensitive areas.

Delhi Red Fort blast, 8 dead, 24 injured

At least eight people have been killed and 24 injured after a high-intensity blast ripped through a car parked near the Red Fort on Monday evening, November 10, 2025, with the powerful explosion leaving multiple vehicles in flames and shattering window panes. Three to four vehicles that were near the car also caught fire and sustained damage.

The Delhi Fire Services received a call regarding the explosion, near the Lal Qila Metro Station Gate No 1, at around 7 pm on Monday. Eight deaths have been confirmed in the explosion, the cause of which is yet to be ascertained, with 24 others sustaining injuries.

According to Delhi Police at least eight people have been declared dead. Several other people are feared injured, officials said. Panic gripped the area as several vehicles were seen damaged at the spot following the loud explosion. Senior Delhi Police officers have reached the spot and are investigating.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) and National Security Guard (NSG) have reached the site, cordoning off the entire zone as forensic teams begin probing the cause and scale of the attack.

DIG CRPF Kishor Prasad, after he reached the site of the explosion, said it was “too early to say anything.” The DIG told reporters he was just “going to the site.”

I saw body parts on the road: Eyewitness

Another eyewitness, recounting the moments after the explosion near Red Fort, said he saw body parts on the road. “…When we came near, we saw body parts spread on the road. No one could figure out what happened,” an eyewitness told ANI, adding that several cars were also damaged.

An auto driver who sustained injuries in the blast near the Red Fort said the car which exploded was two feet away from him. “The car in front of me was about two feet away. I don’t know whether there was a bomb in it or something else, but it exploded. It was a Swift Dzire car,” he told PTI news agency.
