Maharashtra HSC Result 2026 Declared: Over 18 Lakh Students Can Now Check Scores Online

The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education has revealed the Maharashtra HSC Result 2026 today, providing relief and enthusiasm to over 18 lakh students throughout the state. Candidates who participated in the Class 12 board examinations can access their scores online, utilising official websites and the DigiLocker app. The announcement was made during a press conference at the board’s office in Pune, where essential information including overall pass rates, subject-specific performance, district-wise statistics, and other examination particulars were discussed.

Accessing the Results Online

Students can conveniently check and download their provisional mark sheets from several designated official websites: mahresult.nic.in, mahahsscboard.in, and hscresult.mkcl.org. Additionally, digital mark sheets have been uploaded to DigiLocker, enabling students to access their results more swiftly and efficiently.

To view their results, students should follow these simple steps: First, visit any of the official result portals. Next, click on the Maharashtra HSC Result 2026 link, enter the seat number, and type in the mother’s first name as recorded on the hall ticket. After submitting the details, students can download and save the provisional mark sheet.

DigiLocker provides an alternative method to retrieve results digitally. Students can visit results.digilocker.gov.in or use the DigiLocker application. After logging in with their Aadhaar-linked mobile number, they need to navigate to the Education section, select Maharashtra HSC Result 2026, and download the mark sheet from the Issued Documents folder.

Examination Results and Grading Criteria

The Maharashtra HSC board examinations for 2026 were conducted from February 10 to March 11, 2026, across multiple examination centres in the state. To pass the HSC examination, students must achieve a minimum of 35 per cent marks. The grading system is classified as follows: 75 per cent and above is a Distinction, 60 to 74 per cent qualifies for First Division, and 35 per cent and above is considered a Pass. In the previous year’s examinations, the overall pass percentage was 91.88 per cent, with girls achieving a higher pass rate of 94.54 per cent compared to boys at 89.51 per cent.

The board also published detailed performance statistics alongside the 2026 results. These statistics serve as a key resource for understanding trends in academic achievement among students.

Revaluation and Verification Process

Students who wish to contest their marks or seek photocopies of their answer sheets will soon have the opportunity to apply for verification and re-evaluation. Applications can be submitted online from May 3 to May 17, 2026. Students wishing to pursue re-evaluation must first obtain a photocopy of their answer sheet and then submit their application within five working days of receipt.

With the declaration of the Maharashtra HSC Result 2026, numerous students can proceed towards their college admissions and future educational goals. Candidates are encouraged to download their provisional mark sheets promptly and collect official documents from their respective institutions in due course.
