Jagapathi Babu Shares How Prabhas Supported Him During His Battle with Depression

The CSR Journal Magazine

Jagapathi Babu, a prominent Tollywood actor, has revealed the emotional support he received from fellow actor Prabhas during a challenging period in his life. In an interview ahead of the release of his new film, Peddi, he spoke candidly about his struggles with depression and how Prabhas played a crucial role in helping him navigate through that difficult time.

According to Jagapathi Babu, Prabhas has always exhibited a remarkable level of compassion, remaining approachable despite his extensive fame. He recounted a specific instance when he reached out to Prabhas while the latter was on location in Georgia for a film shoot. Jagapathi Babu expressed that he needed someone to talk to during his struggles.

He recalled Prabhas’s comforting response, stating, “Darling, I am there. Tell me your problem, I will solve it.” This conversation reportedly provided Jagapathi Babu with a significant amount of reassurance and encouragement. He stated that Prabhas’s words of support proved invaluable during that tough time.

Prabhas’s Continued Encouragement

Jagapathi Babu mentioned that Prabhas’s support did not wane after his return from Georgia. The two actors met personally, and Jagapathi Babu emphasised how Prabhas’s encouragement motivated him to regain his confidence. He noted that regardless of their age difference, Prabhas exhibits a depth of kindness and dedication towards those around him.

“He loves and cares for everyone,” Jagapathi Babu remarked, reflecting on the younger actor’s capacity for treating people with warmth and respect, irrespective of their status or profession. The two have previously collaborated on multiple films, including Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire and Radhe Shyam, highlighting a strong professional connection built on mutual respect.

Jagapathi Babu Commends SS Rajamouli’s Professionalism

In addition to discussing Prabhas, Jagapathi Babu also took the opportunity to praise filmmaker SS Rajamouli. He described Rajamouli and his family as humble individuals who remain grounded, even amidst their numerous accolades and successes in the film industry. Jagapathi Babu highlighted that Rajamouli carries no ego and that his entire family mirrors this humility.

The actor further commended Rajamouli’s professional approach to filmmaking, noting that the director selects actors based on their suitability for the roles rather than personal relationships. This impartiality, according to Jagapathi Babu, speaks volumes about Rajamouli’s standard of professionalism in casting.

Currently, Jagapathi Babu is gearing up for the anticipated release of Peddi, directed by Buchi Babu Sana. The film stars Ram Charan, alongside Janhvi Kapoor, Shiva Rajkumar, and Divyenndu, with Jagapathi Babu portraying the character Appalasoori. The sports drama is scheduled for a global release on June 4.
