Tej Pratap Yadav, senior Bihar politician and national president of the Rashtriya Janata Dal, has strongly denied social media claims suggesting that he has become a father, calling the rumours false and emotionally distressing. “I am completely depressed by such false claims. If anything of this nature were true, I would have informed people myself,” he said, adding that reckless circulation of personal rumours can have serious mental health consequences.

Yadav also distanced himself from any alleged links with the woman and child mentioned in the posts, stating clearly that he has no connection whatsoever with them. He warned that spreading unverified claims not only harms individuals but also erodes public trust.

Threat of Legal Action

The RJD leader said he is considering legal options against those responsible for initiating and amplifying the rumours. He alleged that a group of people were intentionally targeting him and claimed to have identified those behind the misinformation campaign.

According to Yadav, false narratives are increasingly being used as tools to discredit public figures, especially on social media where rumours spread rapidly without verification. He urged people to rely on official statements rather than online speculation.
