The arrest of STF constable Akshay Kumar has been confirmed in connection with the high-profile Bharat Tiwari encounter case, as stated by the Superintendent of Police, Raj, on July 31. Asha Devi, Tiwari’s mother, alongside his father, Kashinath Tiwari, brother Chandan Tiwari, and sister-in-law Suman Devi, voiced their concerns regarding the investigation. They stated that while they have faith in Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, one arrest does not equate to justice.

The family has maintained that real justice will only be achieved when all police officers implicated in the encounter are held accountable and face the strictest penalties available under the law. Their demands reflect ongoing apprehensions regarding the integrity of the encounter that resulted in Tiwari’s death.
