Gelatin Sticks Discovered Near Venue of PM Modi’s Bengaluru Event

Bengaluru experienced a heightened security situation on May 10 when two gelatin sticks were found approximately three kilometres from the site where Prime Minister Narendra Modi was scheduled to speak. Reports from local police indicate that the gelatin sticks were located on a footpath during pre-event security measures. The situation prompted an immediate investigation to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the discovery.

The Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) for the Central Range in Bengaluru confirmed the findings, which were reported as suspicious. Authorities are actively looking into the matter, although further details regarding the investigation have yet to be released. The incident raised concerns among security personnel as PM Modi prepared to attend a significant public event.

PM Modi’s Engagements in Karnataka

During his visit to Karnataka, PM Modi participated in the 45th anniversary celebrations of The Art of Living in Bengaluru. Following this engagement, he proceeded to Hyderabad to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for development projects estimated to be worth around Rs 9,400 crore. His attendance at the anniversary event underscores his commitment to promoting initiatives tied to Indian culture and wellness.

In his address at The Art of Living programme, PM Modi emphasised the global influence of India’s spiritual values. He acknowledged the contributions of Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, the founder of The Art of Living, in raising awareness about India’s rich traditions. PM Modi noted that the principles and teachings stemming from India’s ancient cultures have inspired many worldwide.

Inauguration of Dhyan Mandir

During his address, PM Modi also extended birthday wishes to Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, who celebrated his 70th birthday on that day. He expressed his intent to return for the centenary celebrations of The Art of Living, highlighting the significance of ongoing contributions to societal well-being. The Prime Minister inaugurated the newly constructed Dhyan Mandir at The Art of Living International Centre, designed as a meditation hall aimed at fostering inner peace and holistic wellness.

PM Modi remarked on the importance of clear intentions and a spirit of service in achieving positive outcomes in any endeavour. He emphasised that such qualities are essential for any individual or organisation aiming to make a meaningful impact on society. The Dhyan Mandir, as envisioned, is expected to serve as a sanctuary for individuals seeking tranquillity and a deeper connection to their inner selves.
