Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust has partnered with Volvo Group India, a company that manufactures and supplies commercial vehicles, construction equipment, and engines, to provide Morning Nutrition to government school children in Hoskote Taluk, Bengaluru Rural district. This initiative will benefit nearly 17,000 students across 272 government schools. Under the program, SaiSure Millet (Ragi) Multi-Nutrient Health Mix is served alongside government-sponsored milk through the Ksheera Bhagya scheme.

Sharath Bache Gowda, MLA of Hoskote, addressed the audience, saying, “Much before I became a politician, I was heading Evexia Nutritions. I am proud to say that we collaborated with Annapoorna Trust during its early days, upon the request of Dr. Satish Babu, a reputed endocrinologist in Bengaluru, to help develop the fortified health mix formulation. The SaiSure Multi-Nutrient Health Mix addresses both visible and hidden (silent) hunger effectively. I am also aware of Volvo India’s contributions to benefit local communities, and I am very thankful for this meaningful gesture. Additionally, I am delighted that under our Congress Government, the SaiSure Ragi Fortified Health programme has been expanded across Karnataka, benefitting 55.6 lakh children Statewide.”

Bailanjannappa P, DDPI Bangalore Rural, stated, “Students have developed a liking for milk ever since the SaiSure Ragi Fortified Health Mix was introduced.”
