CSR Project in Thane aiming to improve the health status of the communities of low income groups

Panasonic Life Solutions India – one of the largest manufacturers of electrical construction materials (ECM) in the country, has launched a mobile medical unit with the support of Gurukrupa foundation to improve the health conditions of people in Thane. This ongoing effort under the Arogyadoot project will aim to provide Primary Health Care through a Mobile Medical Unit.
The van will cater to residents of low-income groups in Chirag Nagar, Majiwada, Nalpada, Kokanipada, and Dharmveer Nagar treating OPD ailments while performing blood and sugar tests, as well as offering generic drug support for fever, cough, cold, viral infection, and other skin problems which will be free of cost. This endeavor with the support of the Gurukrupa foundation will aim to increase the impact of providing health care systems to people of low-income groups.
The inauguration commenced in presence of Yoshiyuki Kato, Managing Director at Panasonic Life Solutions India along with Dr. Rajesh Barot Dean of Rajiv Gandhi Medical College and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Hospital, Kalwa and Smitali Umraskar – Dy Medical officer Health at Thane Municipal corporation.
Speaking on this initiative, Yoshiyuki Kato, Managing Director at Panasonic Life Solutions India said,” While running our healthcare project, Arogyadoot, by offering healthcare services, we have officially opened our first health mobile van. With the Gurukrupa Foundation, we have partnered to further strengthen this effort. The van can serve 70 patients on average per day, benefiting members of our society.”
Further expressing their gratitude for the cooperation, Dr. Kiran Pandit of the Gurukrupa Foundation said, “Through this partnership, we will be able to extend our reach to our communities, ensuring that those in need have access to free primary healthcare services.”
