A Brazilian couple has garnered attention after they successfully broke the Guinness World Record for the most kisses in 30 seconds. Renato Bayma Gaia and his girlfriend Naiara Roberta Ribeiro de Marins managed to execute an impressive total of 195 kisses within half a minute. This remarkable feat coincided perfectly with International Kissing Day, adding a significant layer of celebration to their achievement.

Renato and Naiara, who have been in a relationship for approximately one and a half years, both work as doctors. They previously served on the frontline during the coronavirus pandemic, demonstrating their commitment to both their profession and each other. Their decision to attempt this kissing challenge stemmed from their belief that they are the “best couple in the world” and they aimed to share this memorable moment together.

The attempt was proudly captured and shared by Guinness World Records. During the record-setting challenge, Renato was seen donning a jersey from his favourite football team, So Jos E.C., while lavishing kisses on Naiara’s cheek, who remained cheerful throughout the endeavour.

This new record adds to Renato’s growing list of accomplishments. He has previously secured titles for the fastest time to set up and topple ten books, as well as the largest foot rotation for a male. Following this latest triumph, he expressed pride in potentially being the Brazilian with the most world records to his name, and he also wished for Naiara’s name to be synonymous with his record-breaking journey.

Describing himself as “addicted to winning,” Renato, who holds a black belt in taekwondo, is motivated to inspire others to pursue their own achievements. He stated his desire to demonstrate that individuals with ADHD, a condition he has, can reach their goals and excel in challenging pursuits.
