Latest revelations from the investigation into the murder of Pune realtor Ketan Agarwal indicate that he harboured suspicions regarding his fiancée, Siya Goyal. Reports suggest that Ketan questioned whether appropriate background checks had been conducted before their marriage was arranged. His concerns intensified over his perceived closeness between Siya and Chetan Chaudhary, said to be her boyfriend and alleged co-conspirator in the case.

Ketan’s father, Vishal Agarwal, informed investigators that his son had expressed these worries multiple times. He reflected that Ketan seemed particularly anxious about Siya’s conduct, noting her frequent mentions of Chetan. Vishal attempted to ease his son’s worries by attributing these behaviours to her youth, assuring Ketan that the family would provide guidance.

Investigators revealed that Ketan also noted frequent difficulties in reaching Siya by phone, claiming that her line was often engaged when he called. He reportedly voiced suspicions that she was involved with another man. Despite these anxieties, Ketan’s family reportedly sought to alleviate his concerns by stating that there was little reason for alarm, attributing the situation to their family’s familiarity with the Goyal family.

Furthermore, after a visit to Lohagad Fort on June 14, Ketan reportedly approached his father yet again to inquire whether thorough checks on Siya’s background had been conducted ahead of their imminent marriage plans. This recurring theme underscores the intensity of Ketan’s uncertainty.

Murder Incident and Arrests Made

Ketan Agarwal, a realtor based in Pune, was reportedly pushed to his death from a cliff at Lohagad Fort on June 18. Siya Goyal, aged 20, and Chetan Chaudhary, aged 22, have been implicated in this alleged crime. Both accused have since been arrested and are currently remanded in police custody until July 3.
