56,000 Students Submit Applications for CBSE Re-evaluation

The CSR Journal Magazine

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced that its Verification and Re-evaluation Portal experienced significant usage, with over 56,000 applications submitted by 9:30 pm on June 3, 2026. This influx of applications includes requests for services such as mark verification and answer script re-evaluation. The activity on the portal predominantly comes from Class 12 students who are seeking reviews of their board examination results.

Denial-of-Service Attack Prevented

CBSE also reported that the portal was recently the target of a substantial denial-of-service (DoS) attack on the same day. These attacks aim to disrupt online services by flooding the system with excessive traffic, potentially hindering access for legitimate users. The board stated, “This afternoon, a 3.8 million packet denial-of-service attack on the website was successfully thwarted.” This intervention highlights the challenges faced by digital platforms during peak usage times.

To ensure continuous operation of the portal, CBSE has deployed technical teams who are actively monitoring the system. Their efforts focus on maintaining stability and providing a seamless experience for users. Regular performance enhancements are also being implemented to ensure the portal remains efficient and accessible during this critical post-results phase.

The update regarding the cyber incident and its prevention comes at a time when student access to the platform is vital. As thousands are engaging with the system, uninterrupted service access is essential for those seeking to submit their applications.

Commitment to Enhancing Student Experience

CBSE reassured users that the portal is fully operational and that efforts are being made to ensure a secure and user-friendly experience. With the numbers of applications steadily increasing, the board’s update underscores the high demand for post-result services and the proactive measures in place to sustain system performance in the face of external challenges.

Ongoing improvements are aimed at making the portal faster and more reliable. CBSE’s commitment to enhancing user experience reflects its understanding of the pressures faced by students during this delicate period. The technical teams are working diligently to ensure that all functionalities are accessible and efficient for the students reliant on the service.

CBSE’s focus on maintaining a stable online environment is crucial as it navigates the dual challenge of high application volume and external cyber threats. The board’s swift response to the cyber incident illustrates a proactive approach to safeguarding student interests during a crucial academic period.
