Two individuals lost their lives in a tragic incident that occurred in Una district of Himachal Pradesh on Tuesday. A speeding vehicle reportedly veered off the road and plunged into a deep gorge, subsequently catching fire, as confirmed by local police.

The event took place along the Una–Dharamshala highway, close to the Chintpurni area. Eyewitness accounts and footage from the scene highlight the devastating impact of the crash, with the vehicle nearly completely engulfed in flames after it fell into the gorge.

CCTV Footage Reveals Details of the Incident

CCTV footage has surfaced showing the black car speeding towards Una shortly before the tragic event. The video appears to capture flames rising from the vehicle even as it approached a sharp bend in the road.

As the car neared the curve, it reportedly lost control and veered off the roadway. It fell into the gorge near an under-construction building, marking the incident as both dramatic and catastrophic.

After the plunge, emergency responders revealed that the car caught fire, which led to the deaths of both occupants. Authorities noted that one of the victims was notably charred beyond recognition.

Investigation Underway to Determine Cause

A preliminary investigation by local police suggests that a tyre burst may have played a significant role in causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle. This loss of control is also believed to have contributed to the fire that consumed the car after it crashed.

The registration details of the vehicle indicate that it was registered in Ludhiana, Punjab, further prompting the initiation of a detailed inquiry into the incident. Police are currently looking into all possible factors that may have led to this tragic event.
