Smartphone Launches Set for July 2026 in India with Major Brands

July 2026 is proving to be an eventful month for smartphone manufacturers in India, particularly with Samsung scheduled to launch the Galaxy Z Fold 8 on July 22. The Galaxy Unpacked event will highlight Samsung’s next-generation foldable devices, including the anticipated Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, which may feature a wide book-style design.

The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is expected to boast a 7.6-inch inner display with a 4:3 aspect ratio, alongside a 5.5-inch cover screen. Both displays are likely to incorporate high-refresh-rate AMOLED technology. Weighing around 201g, the device is anticipated to measure 4.5mm when unfolded and 9.7mm when folded, making it one of the most compact foldable models yet.

Alongside these specifications, both the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and its Ultra counterpart are rumoured to utilise the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, along with enhancements that include improved visibility of the screen and a larger battery compared to its predecessor. The Galaxy Z Flip 8 is also expected to be revealed, with design upgrades and improved internal components.

Lava Virat Series Launch

Lava has introduced its new Virat series of smartphones, aimed at online consumers via the platform Flipkart. Designed to cater to various budget segments, the Virat series will consist of devices priced between Rs 10,000 and Rs 25,000.

Although specific technical details about the Virat smartphones have not yet been disclosed, Lava has indicated that these devices will feature AI-powered cameras and boast a battery life of up to two days. Early reports suggest that the first Virat smartphone could debut before the end of this month, further diversifying the Indian smartphone market.

The series aims to provide strong performance within its price range, positioning Lava to compete more effectively against established brands in the growing Indian smartphone segment. The anticipation surrounding the Virat series reflects increasing interest in entry-level and mid-range smartphones among consumers.

Vivo T5 Lite 5G and iQOO Z11 Lite

The Vivo T5 Lite 5G is slated for a July 16 release and is expected to feature an impressive 6,500mAh battery with 44W wired charging capability. The current iteration, the T4 Lite 5G, only offered 15W charging support, highlighting the enhancements being made.

This new model will include military-grade durability and an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance. It is projected to have a 120Hz display with peak brightness reaching 1,200 nits, likely utilising an IPS LCD panel. Additionally, the T5 Lite 5G will operate on the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset and incorporate AI functionalities.

Meanwhile, the iQOO Z11 Lite is set to launch on July 24, featuring a similar MediaTek chipset and a claimed AnTuTu score of 5,79,900 points. The design will include a multi-colour LED ring for notifications, along with an IP65 rating. The anticipated 6,500mAh battery suggests that performance and longevity are key focuses for this model as well.

Realme Narzo 100x Launch

The Realme Narzo 100x will precede the other launches, debuting on July 15 and featuring a noteworthy 8,000mAh battery, touted as the largest in its price segment of Rs 15,000 to Rs 20,000. The device will support 45W wired charging and reverse charging capabilities.

Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC, the Realme Narzo 100x will offer expansive storage options of up to 256GB. The device will also reportedly have a 144Hz display with peak brightness of up to 1,200 nits, accommodating consumers who prioritise display quality in their smartphones.

The Narzo 100x will be available in two colour options: Flash Orange and Midnight Black, adding to its appeal in the competitive smartphone market. As these five models launch, they illustrate the increasing diversity and options available to Indian consumers this July.
