The CSR Journal Magazine

The incident in question occurred at around 2 am on Sunday at Kara Kara pub, situated on the eighth floor of Daspalla Hotel in Hyderabad’s Jubilee Hills locality. The confrontation reportedly began when a young man attempted to navigate past Aravind Yadav, also known as Tillu, who was allegedly positioned in a cramped area between a wall and a table. This initial interaction gave rise to an argument that quickly developed into a physical altercation.

Following the onset of the dispute, Aravind’s associates allegedly joined the fray, prompting members of the opposing group to react. The scuffle escalated significantly within the pub itself, with reports indicating that beer bottles and physical force were employed during the clash, leading to a chaotic scene.

Bouncers present in the establishment intervened and managed to separate the two groups temporarily, directing them downstairs. However, the confrontation reportedly persisted for over 30 minutes in the hotel’s cellar area, illustrating the intensity of the disturbance.

Police Involvement and Damage Assessment

The continuous disruption led the hotel management, along with other individuals present, to notify the police authorities. By the time the officers from the Jubilee Hills police station arrived at the site, it was reported that the individuals involved in the brawl had already vacated the premises.

Upon inspection, police discovered damaged furniture, including broken glass panes and ruined tables and chairs throughout the hotel. Additionally, several individuals sustained injuries during the altercation, and reports indicated that some vehicles parked nearby also suffered damage.

To aid in the investigation, law enforcement officials seized the CCTV footage from the hotel. This surveillance material is currently under review as investigators work to piece together the sequence of events, seeking to clarify the role of each participant in the incident.

Investigation and Compliance Checks

In conjunction with probing the brawl, authorities are scrutinising whether the pub was adhering to the conditions outlined in its business licences. Specific focus is being given to the establishment’s operating hours and compliance with regulations governing music and entertainment.

The police initiated a suo motu case following a complaint lodged by a police sub-inspector, naming Aravind Yadav and 20 other individuals in connection with the incident. The ongoing investigation aims to gather more evidence through the analysis of CCTV footage and additional resources to comprehensively assess the circumstances surrounding the confrontation.

Several individuals identified in connection with the case have reportedly been taken into custody for questioning as part of the investigative process. Authorities are committed to gathering sufficient evidence to ensure a thorough understanding of the events that transpired during the altercation at the pub.
