Meerut Man Allegedly Kidnaps and Murders Lover’s Son in Uttar Pradesh

The CSR Journal Magazine

A seven-year-old boy was allegedly kidnapped and killed by a man who was romantically involved with his mother in Meerut district, Uttar Pradesh. The victim, identified as Angad, reportedly went missing on the morning of June 13, 2026, while playing outside his home. Authorities have stated that the suspect, Arpit Parashar, allegedly viewed the child as an obstacle to his relationship with the mother, which led to the tragic incident.

Details of the Kidnapping

According to the police, Parashar lured Angad into his vehicle by promising him chocolates. Following the abduction, he allegedly drove the child away before taking his life and disposing of the body in a nearby field adjacent to a canal. After the boy’s family reported his disappearance, law enforcement launched a comprehensive investigation that included reviewing CCTV footage.

Surveillance data reportedly captured the child being taken away in Parashar’s car, allowing investigators to focus their efforts on him as a primary suspect. During initial questioning, Parashar attempted to mislead the authorities by providing inconsistent accounts of his actions. At one point, he allegedly claimed to have disposed of the boy’s body in a canal, prompting extensive search operations, including the mobilisation of divers.

However, no evidence of the child’s presence was found in the canal. Following a prolonged interrogation, Parashar reportedly confessed to the murder and directed police to the location where he had abandoned Angad’s body, which was later discovered in a field situated near the canal.

Ongoing Investigation and Arrest

Mereut Rural Superintendent of Police, Abhijeet Kumar Singh, stated that a special police team apprehended Parashar within a day of the kidnapping report. During interrogation, he allegedly admitted to taking the child away, detailing how he had killed him and disposed of the body thereafter. The police are also scrutinising the boy’s mother further to ascertain whether she had any complicity in the crime.

Investigators indicate that Parashar had maintained a relationship with the boy’s mother for some time and had been regularly visiting her. They suspect that Angad may have posed a challenge to their relationship, which allegedly precipitated the horrific act. Despite being under investigation, no definitive accusations have been levelled against the mother as authorities continue their inquiries.

Angad’s father is reported to be working in Dubai, while the victim was living and studying with his grandmother in Punjab prior to the incident, having arrived in Meerut only about a week before his tragic disappearance. The murderer, Parashar, is a resident of Muzaffarnagar district and is employed at a local bank. Investigations are ongoing as authorities seek to clarify all aspects surrounding this heartbreaking case.
