Just weeks before this incident, 14 children died when a roof at a tutoring centre collapsed in Lahore’s Kahna Nau area, highlighting ongoing concerns regarding the safety of structures amid persistent monsoon conditions.

Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz, expressed sorrow over the tragic loss of life and directed healthcare authorities to provide comprehensive medical attention to the injured. Faisalabad Roof Collapse Incident

In a related incident, two children lost their lives, and three others sustained injuries when the roof of a house collapsed in Faisalabad, approximately 150 km west of Lahore. This incident occurred during rainfall on Jhang Road, where five family members were present in their deteriorating home. Reports from state-run Associated Press of Pakistan indicated that two boys, aged six months and five years, were killed when the roof caved in.

Local authorities, including Rescue 1122, confirmed that the house was in poor condition, contributing to its structural failure under the weight of the heavy rains.
